We envision a world in which all people are empowered to share their talents to strengthen their communities. Communities in which people feel safe, welcome, and connected to the strangers who cross their paths every day.

We are helping build this future by equipping civic and cultural organizations to become of, by, and for their communities. OF/BY/FOR ALL provides tools, community, accountability, and coaching on radical inclusion. You bring your own urgent desire for change. We support you with practical tools and a process to make your inclusive vision real.

OF/BY/FOR ALL methods help organizations connect with their local communities in effective, authentic ways. The more an organization is representative OF its community, the more people feel seen and heard. The more programming is created BY the community, the more people feel ownership. The more programming is FOR the community, the more everyone wants to participate.

We see OF/BY/FOR ALL as an accelerator for change within the broader movement for diversity, equity, and inclusion in community-based organizations. We help busy practitioners go from talking about inclusion to putting it into action with their communities.

That means:

• In an ecosystem rich in nuance and complexity, we focus on offering specific, tangible methods you can use right now to meaningfully involve your community in your work.

• In an ecosystem where change is often facilitated with consultants and in-person conferences, we offer more affordable, networked ways to learn and grow. Our goal is to build OF/BY/FOR ALL as a network of hundreds of organizations with shared values and ambitions.

We're building OF/BY/FOR ALL as a nonprofit with two constituencies:

1. A global movement of passionate and curious people who want to make cultural and civic organizations of, by, and for all.

2. A Change Network of committed organizations that are working actively to become more of, by, and for their specific communities.

To support both of these, we're building tools and resources to help you get started with community involvement, build organizational will for action, and lead inclusive institutional change. Our programs are grounded on successful community-driven transformations we’ve led at cultural organizations, and from innovations at partner organizations around the world. We've lived it, we've trained others on it, and now we want to help you to do it too. 

We’re using digital technology to make our programs widely available around the world at price points that make sense for organizations of different budget sizes. As the movement grows, we will increasingly co-create tools in partnership with community innovators in the Change Network, so the movement itself is of, by, and for inclusive practitioners.

We see this work as a multi-year journey to build a movement of diverse civic and cultural organizations, all striving together to build a more inclusive world.
